The free tier includes the daily affirmation on the widget and in the app, every widget size, and a selection of the seventeen categories and ten visual styles, supported by a small banner ad. A single one-time purchase (never a recurring fee) unlocks every category and visual theme, removes the banner ad, lets you write affirmations of your own, adds categories that fill themselves (Favorites and Short Only), and opens the theme editor. It starts from $4.99 in the US and pricing is localized per region; there are three price points that all unlock exactly the same thing, so you pick whichever feels fair. Nothing ever renews, and the unlock restores automatically on a new phone.

Yes. Daily Affirm puts a fresh affirmation on your home screen in small, medium and large sizes on both iPhone and Android, plus three Lock Screen sizes and automatic StandBy on iPhone. The widget refreshes on its own, once a day or on the schedule you set; there’s no need to open the app. On iPhone: long-press an empty spot on your home screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, search for “Daily Affirm”, pick a size and tap Add Widget. On Android: long-press the home screen, choose Widgets, and drag Daily Affirm into place. The widget matches the visual style you choose in the app, from Minimalist to Handwritten or Noir, or a theme you design yourself.

As often as you like. You can have one a day, arriving at the time you pick and staying until the next one, or several a day inside a window you set: a first time and a last time, even a window that runs past midnight. A new install starts at three a day. Above once a day, morning lines come in the morning and sleep lines wait for the evening. The widget, the Today screen and the optional alert all follow the same schedule, and swiping back in Today reaches every affirmation you’ve seen, with the time each one came up. The schedule is free and lives in Settings, so you can change it whenever your days change.

Yes. All 1,190 affirmations live on your device, so it works with no connection at all, even in airplane mode. Nothing is fetched from a server and there’s no sign-in: the daily affirmation appears instantly, the widget keeps updating on flights and subway commutes, and your favorites and custom affirmations stay on your phone rather than in someone’s cloud.

The app serves one a day, or several a day on a schedule you set; at once a day it’s months before you see a repeat. You can open a category directly whenever you need it, and thirty from each category are free to read on this site.

Yes. Write your own affirmations and they join the daily rotation like any other line: on the widget, in Today, in Favorites and in Share. Triple-tap a word while writing to emphasize it, or select some text and tap Emphasize, and your personal category gets its own name and emoji. It’s a good home for the phrases that already work for you, and everything you write stays on your device, offline like the rest of the app. Writing your own is part of the one-time Premium unlock; there’s no subscription.

Yes. Beyond the ten ready-made styles, Premium includes a theme editor for designing a widget theme that’s entirely yours: any background color from a full color picker, or a photo (one of your own, or one from a curated gallery of calm nature shots), your choice of font, and your own text and accent colors, with a live preview of every widget size while you edit. Save as many themes as you like and switch whenever the mood shifts.

Eighteen, each with its own library, written for that language rather than translated word for word: English (US and UK), Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Brazilian and European Portuguese, Ukrainian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Arabic, Turkish, and Swedish. Categories, widget themes and settings are localized too; Arabic runs fully right-to-left, and Japanese, Korean and Chinese ship with fonts chosen for their scripts. The app follows your phone’s language setting, and this website has the same eighteen languages behind the globe menu.

No. There’s no account, no sign-in and no email to give. Your favorites, preferences and custom affirmations stay on your phone and in its own backup (iCloud on iPhone, Google backup on Android), never on our servers, so there’s no copy with us to delete later. That’s also why the app works fully offline and never shows a login screen. And if you ever decide to leave, you just delete the app; there’s no server-side profile left behind and nothing to unsubscribe from.
